Narshima Parvatha Trek,Agumbe

Set out on an amazing adventure through the beautiful peaks of Narsimha Parvatha for a trek where you’ll create amazing memories. This trek takes you through the grassy hills and small streams carved out by the Sita river, while you soak in the natural beauty. After reaching the top you’ll be able to witness the misty panoramic view that’ll fill you with delight.

In Agumbe, the tallest peak is Narasimha Parvatha. Standing at 3,772 feet, this hike delivers a comprehensive experience. It leads you through the Western Ghats’ canopy of thick, tangled trees. Additionally, it leads you past hills and valleys covered in a carpet of verdant meadows. Additionally, the vistas it provides are, to put it mildly, magnificent.

Narasimha Parvatha is a part of Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary. Although this trek is less well-known than Kudremukh, it offers views and adventures that are at least as good as or better than those of Kudremukh.

The best time of the year to do this trek is Moonson season or May-June. You can trek the beautiful hills of Agumbe and Mallanduru in Karnataka, India.

The trek is a moderate to difficult one, and it will take you around 5-6 hours. You will start your trek at Mallanduru. From there, you will have to climb up the hill for about 3 km. Once you reach the top, you will find yourself in a beautiful landscape with a green forest. Keep on following the trail till you reach Mallanduru again. From here, it’s an easy downhill trek till Agumbe.

Itinerary

Day 1

Barkana Falls to Mallandur Top Trek Length: 8 km
Top Trek Length: 2 hours 30 minutes

We will start at the starting point and climb until we reach our destination, which is the peak.
The first kilometre of the hike is rather simple and uncomplicated. You pass through firstly rocky, then muddy terrain.
The true adventure starts after the first kilometre. The next 7 km through the Agumbe’s thick woodlands will bring you to the foot of Barkana Falls. Finding the trail on your own is nearly hard because of how deep the forest is. Here’s where your guide will be useful.
After Barkana Falls, the trail is once more in a forested area. The hardest part of the walk is this. The elevation is exceedingly steep, and the walk is no longer only through the forest. The most thrilling part, though, is that you get to see the Agumbe Reserve Forest’s diverse flora. Located amidst such beauty at a height of 3800ft, is the tallest peak of Agumbe- Narasimha Parvatha .
We will then relax, have lunch at the peak, and start descending. On your way down to Kigga, you’ll get to witness the breathtaking beauty of the entire Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary, including Kudremukh peak.
After descending for a few hours, we’ll reach our campsite in Kigga and will freshen up before having dinner.
Finally, we’ll gather around the campfire to enjoy each other’s company after a long day of trekking.

Day 2

You will wake up and freshen up for further descent from the campsite. Before leaving, have your breakfast.
We will leave the campsite by 7:30 AM towards Sita Falls . Sita waterfall with a height of 126 feet is part of river Sita.

After leisure time at sita falls, we will begin the journey towards Hometown and start descending further.

Your two-day Narsimha trip comes to a close here. You’re undoubtedly fatigued by this point, but it was all worth it because you’ve just finished one of Karnataka’s most picturesque treks. You can make stops along the journey at a few of the nearby settlements to learn more about what this region has to offer.

There you have it, then! This is the ideal schedule for the 1 day Narsimha Paravtha trip. This trek will give you lifelong memories because of the stunning environment, welcoming inhabitants, and plenty of excitement.

This is where you will leave for your hometown.
